Wilma June Donovan
Wilma June Donovan, 74, of Andrews, passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, in a Murphy hospital.
She was born in Carter County, Ky., but lived most of her life in Ohio before moving to Andrews to be close to her daughter.
June was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. June enjoyed bowling, bingo and watching crime shows. She also loved animals, and spent her life rescuing and nurturing all creatures big and small.
June crocheted in her spare time. She had a strong faith in Christ and was always filled with joy. She was a selfless woman whose smile was contagious and was always willing to lend a hand. She loved her family immensely.
She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Wilma Inez Cooper McGlone, and the wife of the late James Ellis Donovan. She also was preceded in death by a son, William Nolan; and a granddaughter, Lauren Pfieffer.
Surviving are four daughters, Debbie Terry and husband David, and Alana Sullivan and husband Billy, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; Jami Dyer and husband, Dean of Andrews; and Pat Garrett and husband Rick of Marble; two sons, Sam Donovan and wife Angie, and Derryn Donovan and girlfriend Candice, all of Cincinnati; 16 grandchildren, Austin and wife Hannah, Kayla, Shannon Lee, Cheyenne, Shayla, Peyton, J.J., Malia, Carter, Charley, Anzly, James, Kati, Chelsea, Jake and Dillon; several step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a caregiver, Kathy Adams; and lifelong friends, John and Donna Carver and their son, Timmy of Cincinnati.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Wilma June Donovan to your local animal shelter.
Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, was in charge of arrangements.
