Nancy Lail Love
Nancy Lail Love, 98, of Andrews passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 in an Andrews care facility. Nancy was a native of Cherokee County, where she lived most of her life.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Connaheta Club, Archibald D. Murphy Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Eastern Star Andrews Chapter 15, and the Andrews First Baptist Church. Nancy was a charter board of directors member of the Cherokee County Historical Museum. Nancy was an avid antique collector, a true picker ahead of her time.
She was the daughter of the late Goldman and Fannie Wiggins Lail and the wife of the late Vincent Gudger “Beans” Love, who died August 18, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Forsyth; and a brother, Pat Lail.
Surviving are a son, Edwin Vincent Love of Andrews; three grandchildren, Edye Dushek and husband, Ron of Murphy, Emily Pigott and husband, Gene of Fort Myers, Florida, and Chip Love and wife, Nina of Andrews; six great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with Pastor Gene Pigott officiating. The interment was in Valleytown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Nancy Lail Love to the Cherokee County Historical Museum, 87 Peachtree Street, Murphy, NC 28906.
