John Jackson “Jack” Davis Jr.
John Jackson “Jack” Davis Jr., 62, of Sevierville, Tenn., formerly of Hayesville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at his residence.
He was a native of Fulton County, Ga., but had lived most of his life in Clay County. Jack was an organist from the age of seven. He played for more than 50 years, most recently at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church. Jack had also worked as a radio disc jockey for many years at 102.7. Jack wrote music and was even a better performer.
He was the son of the late John Jackson Sr. and Nellie Mae Ledford Davis. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Angie Davis.
Surviving are his wife, Debra Davis-DiMiceli; two daughters, Anna Grace Davis of Hayesville and Christina DiMiceli-Roman and husband, J.R. of Pinellas Park, Florida; two sons, Joseph DiMiceli and wife, Jacqueline and Brandon Phillips, all of Sevierville; and three grandchildren, Alaina Katherine Laramic-DiMiceli, Gabriella Jovonnina DiMiceli, and Christopher Daniel Afanodor.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, August 23 in Saint Andrew Lutheran Church with the Revs. Volley Hanson and George Simmons officiating. The interment will be 1p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Ga.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:45 a.m. Thursday morning at the Saint Andrew Lutheran Church prior to the services.
