Charles Pendergrass, 80, of Andrews, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at his residence.
He was born in Macon County to the late Floyd and Mary Willis Pendergrass. Charles worked in a furniture plant in Bryson City. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charles was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Sue Hembree Pendergrass; two brothers, Hubert Pendergrass and Pete Pendergrass; and one sister, Julia Martha Pendergrass.
He is survived by three sons, Gary, Edward and Trent Pendergrass, all of Andrews; and one sister, Mary Wright of Murphy.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. The Rev. Bo Phillips officiated. Burial was in the Aquone Cemetery in Nantahala. Pallbearers were Ed Lee, Jeff Clark and Justin Clark.
The family received friends from noon-2 pm. Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Townson-Rose chapel in Andrews.
