After 40 years on Main Street, seven years on Laurel Street and six years on Chestnut Street, the Andrews Journal is once again downtown. In July 2011, the Journal moved to 995 Main Street, in the Nantahala Suite of the Valleytown Corner Ballroom at the corner of Locust Street.
The Journal is published weekly on Thursdays, serving the communities of Andrews, Marble, Nantahala and Topton and giving special attention to schools, town and county meetings, sports, weddings, engagements, birth announcements, business, entertainment, churches, clubs and community events. Much of the community news is submitted by members of the community.
The deadline for news items is Noon Tuesday for that Thursday's edition. Make sure to include a name and phone number on each submission. The deadline for classified and display advertising also is Noon Tuesday.
Subscriptions to Andrews Journal are $18 per year in Cherokee, Clay and Graham counties, and $32 for out-of-county and out-of-state readers.
